What makes a successful blog?

I have been blogging for around 5 years. All of the posts being combined, I have written 100 or so posts. Yet few readers, if any, visited any of the post.

When I opened all these blogs, I did not intend to be commercial or successful. These blogs were designed to be personal, full of my ramblings. As time goes by, as posts become more and more, I start to want to be “serious”. I want my blogs to beyond personal. Can they

I never want to appease every reader. But aiming for the above three. I have reasons to believe my blogs can have bigger reader group.

Why blogger? Because it’s one of the most free platforms among all. The fact that it’s backed by Google gives me assurance. Indeed personal blog is more customizable, but I don’t have the mood and time to maintain. Yet it’s not necessary to be bound and cursed by your tradition, if I have learnt anything over the years. Medium, say, it’s a more popular platform than blogger. Why not synchronizing blogger to Medium? I have the programming literacy. And every automation can be achieved by programming. I am putting this plan to my to-do-list.

Will I ever consider Youtube, Tiktok, or perhaps some kind of podcast? Perhaps, if I have that time. I will keep writing. It’s hard to see the full potential of these blogs. We shall wait and see.
