Just another Tech Conference?

Recently, at HackIT we discussed using a similar model to encourage devs to skill up through the use of a skill matrix in which your level of competency is mapped. The working example we came up with looked something like this:

At HackIT we already extensively report everything we do in Trello boards and as part of our weekly notes. But perhaps it would be useful to us less ‘braggy’ types to write up all of these small building blocks into a larger quarterly or yearly doc and to ensure that it is a necessary part of our performance review cycle.

So, big thank you to the You Got This Conference organisers on filling a very much needed gap in the tech conference circuit. I hope to be back next year but then again, I hope I can also by then start feeling a little less junior-ee.
