The Unsophisticated Epicurean

Hello! My name is Candice and i’m in a serious relationship with Food!! I guess you can say that i’m a true foodie. My relationship with food started when I was a child. I was ALWAYS hungry and I still have the hunger!! I was that kid who would sneak food during the Lord’s prayer. Lately, I discovered that I could take my love of food to the next level.

I just graduated from college, and got a full time position working in my field but, I realized that I wasn’t passionate about what I was doing. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my job and I’ve learned so much but, I came to the realization that I was not passionate about what I was doing. So, then. I decided to go on a mission to find out what I was really passionate about. I was told that our passions come to us naturally, and after so soul searching BOOM!! it came to me FOOD. Next, came another question; What will I do with this new passion? Do I go to culinary school, do I start a YouTube channel or a blog??? I’m still trying to figure that part out. I did however come up with a name. The Unsophisticated Epicurean. By definition; An Epicurean — is a connoisseur of the arts of life and the refinements of sensual pleasures and is a connoisseur of the arts of life and epicureanism implies a love or knowledgeable enjoyment especially of good food and drink. The unsophisticated part refers to the fact that I do not have any formal training on food . I just know that my passion for it goes beyond eating for nourishment. So, because I can’t afford to go back to school at the moment. I decided to go to my local library and search for Intro cook books to teach my self how to cook and along the way try new restaurants and recipes!!!
